xREZ alumna Julie Libersat is a successful artist and art educator. Her work explores the themes of home, spatial meaning, and disorientation. She graduated UNT with a master’s in new media and a master’s in art education. At xREZ Julie explored ideas and ultimately developed her ROAM artwork, for which she received a grant. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Highlights include: the Dallas Contemporary, The American Center for Art and Culture in Paris, Currents International New Media Festival, and Paseo Taos and Museo de la Ciudad de México, including reviews of her work in Sculpture Magazine The Baltimore Sun and The Washington Post. She is currently Assistant Professor of Art Design and Technology at Texas Women’s University in Denton.
