Border Lands

Description of Work: My model began as an interest in landforms and body forms. I chose the context of this comparison to be related to an ongoing geopolitical issue occurring near the Texas-Mexico border in Ciudad Juarez known as femicide. I 3D-modeled the landscape from a displacement map of the border between El Paso and Ciudad Juarez. Continuing from that landscape I embedded the relief image of women circling the cities.
