Ruth West Talks about Innovation, Transdisciplinarity and the Future of the University

Ruth West spoke as a panelist at the 2017 Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities (a2ru) conference held at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts on November 1-4, 2017. The 2017 conference theme focused on “Arts in the Public Sphere: Civility, Advocacy, and Engagement.”

The panel, Chaired by Alan Boldon, held on November 4th, “Cities as Labs for Innovation Tackling Global Challenges: Transdisciplinarity and the Future of the University” included panelists Ruth West (Director of xREZ Art + Science Lab, Associate Professor, University of North Texas), Alan Boldon (Director of Cultural Engagement and Innovation, University of Brighton), Tom Rudin (Director, Board on Higher Education and Workforce, National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine), and Michelle Kahane (Associate Dean, The New School).
