Ruth West will be speaking at the State of the Arts: Data Is the New Paint panel hosted by the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) set for Sept. 29, 2016 at 7:30PM. The panel will be focused on local art + science practitioners specializing in the use of data as an artistic medium.
The DMA hosts State of the Arts panels to bring together “Dallas’s key artistic leaders and special guests in thought-provoking conversations about the arts and the cultural landscape of the Metroplex.” Data Is the New Paint panelists include Ruth West (Director of xREZ Art + Science Lab, University of North Texas), Jerome Weeks (Senior Arts Producer/Reporter for KERA’s Art&Seek), Maximilian Schich (Associate Professor of Arts and Technology at the University of Texas at Dallas), and Ira Greenburg (Professor of Computer Science and Engineering and Director of the Center of Creative Computation at Southern Methodist University).
